Okay SO This has to be my favorite Minky/Cotton Rag quilt EVER!:D Im so grateful Mom and Dad came and gave me the opportunity and motivation to get it done in time for Christmas:D Merry Christmas and a Warm New Year!:D Love you Both so much:D Thanks for being the best grandparents my kids could ask for:D Aloha!!:D P.S. I promise I am working on my Photography skills. Just squint a little and it looks almost in focus 😀
Blue and green Have been my Favorite colors I think since I moved to Hawaii and watched the mountains from the ocean. Sigh. I’m going to have to make one for me too. haha
Look Theres a turtle and a Palm tree. I love the Moko Designs too. The fun never stops up in here:D
Okay so the turtle looks kind of not like a turtle but its amazing how absolutely proud of it I am hahaha.
Just showing the extra mink here with a pretty Plumeria to give some Hawaiian flavor.
So many fabrics to chose from. I LOVE that I actually had all of this mink on hand. I know its not the most matching but if you have ever looked out at the ocean or up at the mountains in Hawaii there are sooo Many colors I figured it is kind of authentic if its not all matchy match. Plus you cant go wrong with more soft minky on the back to keep Grandpas and Grandmas warm haha.
This quilt has 4 boarders. I left a 1/2 inch seem alowance around all of the blocks and the boarders so the mink could show through and be soft and fun on the front.
Oh I love how this turned out. Its just pretty. Another island touch. I had Jake draw a few designs on a couple of squares and made an attempt at free motion haha. Its all fun and games till you have to try and pick out anything on Minky. DONT MESS UP!! hahaha. jk.
Its All Minky So our Hawaiian parents could snuggle up and be warm in the cold of Utah.
I LOVE the ocean and all it has to offer a girl. So I jumped at the opportunity to make an Island flavored quilt.
